Shelves.

A few weeks ago I found these colorful drawer organizers in the Dollar Spot at Target. I had been looking for a cute way to display some of my small toys like Takochu and Littlest Pet Shop, and I thought these would make great shelves. Today I finally picked up some Command strips and hung them in my sewing room. Fun! I have a couple of extra that I plan on using as actual drawer organizers too. :)

Last night I worked on a tiny bit of sewing. It rained *all* day, and the rain always makes me feel lazy. Anyway, this is for a friend's Lalaloopsy. I'll take better pictures when it's finally finished.

I'm back.

I am back on my laptop! It's not 100% fixed yet, but it will be soon. One of my memory modules was bad, so a new one is on the way. Thank goodness it wasn't something worse. I've spent some time this weekend sewing for friends, but mostly I've been focusing on other hobbies since the weather is so nice. Here's a teeny peek at something for Lalaloopsy though...

Yikes.

My laptop crashed early this morning. *cry* Luckily my brother is a computer whiz genius who has offered to fix it for me whenever he gets a free moment. I'm on my ooooold laptop that I can barely stand to use, so I'm not sure how often I'll be online until he fixes whatever's wrong. I'll be checking my email, but that's probably it for at least a couple of days. :(

Lalaloopsy

I was so smitten with my first regular sized Lalaloopsy that I immediately went out and bought another! Yesterday I picked up Tippy Tumbelina from Target. I decided to name her Swan, and her pet swan is named Snowdrop. I quickly whipped up a dress last night, and I'm happy with how it turned out! It's an ever so slightly modified Blythe pattern from Dolly Dolly. It's altered to fit over Lala's big butt. :)

Bubble Rompers

The first batch of bubble rompers is gone. Thank you so much, everybody! I have a few more cut out and ready to sew, but I want to make a couple of Lalaloopsy dresses for myself first. I also have a very special friend with a birthday coming up soon, so I need to get that figured out ASAP! :)

Thank you!

I just wanted to thank everybody who bid on my charity auction. It ended this afternoon. I hope whoever won loves the outfit as much as I do!

I also wanted to post that I got my first BIG Lalaloopsy today. I have most of the minis, and I've been thinking about getting a regular sized one for a while now. I originally wanted Tippy Tumbelina, but she is out of stock at Target. I saw a Jewel Sparkles today, and decided she was cute enough for me (love her shoes). She's so much fun! I have to think of a name for her, and hopefully I can maker her some clothes too.

Working.

I'm working on a small batch of funsuits/bubble rompers that will be available soon.

Charity Auction

I have been inspired by the generosity coming from the Blythe community to make an outfit set listed for charity. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Japan Earthquake & Tsunami relief fund.

Please visit my auction on eBay to support a good cause.

Sneak Peak

Stay tuned for more info about this set.

Honeydew & Strawberries

I've had a busy weekend, so this is the only thing I've been able to work on this afternoon. I tried it with a casing instead of stretching and sewing the elastic. I like it, but it's bulky. I'll have to try it next with a slimmer casing and cord elastic.

Here's another one completed. It's a lot like the first pair I made, but I used my regular bloomers pattern without a casing. I like all 3 versions.

It's a funsuit!

I'm so pleased! I think this turned out great the first try. I like to call it a funsuit! I hope to make some more this weekend.

My vampire Lumi Ruby got her new wig today. She's gooorgeous, and hopefully she'll get to model some clothes soon. :)

More Test Sewing

Whipped this up quickly last night. I used the whale fabric because it's super lightweight, and I think this dress needs light fabrics so it hangs better. It still didn't quite work out as I had hoped though. I think it's harder to get that effortless drape on such a small doll. :(

One of my bestest, bestest friends from high school is visiting this weekend, so I don't think I'll be able to sew much until next week. Gonna have some fun for sure. :)

Sunsuit: Second Draft

Again, assembled super quickly just to see how it would work. I think I like the straps idea. I just need to make sure the turning is neater with the facings. The bottom half is still bugging me though. I'll need to think about it some more after dinner tonight.

As far as dresses go, the ones I've been working on fit PukiFee much nicer than Lati Yellow so far. Hmm.

Sunsuit: First Draft

Here's a reeeaaally crappy & quickly made first version of my sunsuit. I hate the ribbon around the neck, so I want to have actual straps that come over the shoulders and button in the front. I'm also thinking about lengthening it a bit so I can do a casing for the leg holes.

Anyway, I ordered a hem gauge that arrived today! It will make it easier to sew dresses with a super curved hem. It's the little luxuries. ♥
